Even though the calendar tells us we're still in the heart of winter, mother nature tells us something different! We've been spoiled with some fantastic weather lately!  If you'd like to take advantage of the mild temperatures before things return to normal, head on over to Wildwood Nature Center, in Park Ridge, for some outdoor fun that you've been craving after being cooped up indoors for so long.

A visit here and you'll feel transported to somewhere far away! Just a short time spent in the peaceful surroundings will leave you feeling refreshed and energized.  You can walk around the five acres, enjoying the paths, ponds, wildlife, and other scenery.  As things warm up even more, take a visit to their butterfly garden! If you'd like to get some more education on the wildlife found here, explore the interactive exhibits and animal displays, or take a class, led by one of the knowledgeable park employees.

This weekend, bring the kids to enjoy the Nature Nook which is fully stocked with books, puppets, games, and activities for your kids to enjoy and explore. Each month focuses on a different nature topic, so visit often! Also, don't miss Animal Feeding Time! Watch as the park staff feed the 35 different animals housed inside! It's fun for the whole family!
