Nothing says summer more than baseball! Chicago is a city known for its sports, and with two professional baseball teams, we have plenty of options! However, sometimes taking in a major league game can be expensive and time consuming, and it may prove to be too much for your youngest baseball enthusiasts. That’s when you need to remember the Kane County Cougars!

This team, with their stadium located in nearby Geneva, offers a very kid friendly baseball environment that's a short drive from anywhere in the northwestern and western suburbs. Currently affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks, they are past Midwest League champions and they have facilities that rival any in the minor leagues. Tickets are inexpensive, whether you want to sit close to the action or relax on the grass down the first or third base line. Kids get to run the bases after games and there's between inning entertainment to hold everyone’s attention. Add to all of this regular fireworks nights throughout the season and stellar food and drink offerings, and it's hard to beat a spring or summer afternoon night at a Kane Cougars game!
