The Art Institute, located right in the heart of downtown Chicago, is a showcase for some of the most brilliant masterpieces in the world! For four years in a row, it’s been voted one of the top museums in all the world! It’s a fantastic place to browse as a relaxing weekend activity, and as a place to learn if you want to delve into the world of art history.

This month is a particularly great time to make a visit, though, so you’re able to see The Chinese Lunar New Year celebrated in style! On January 28th, the museum will offer a variety of activities focused on this Chinese tradition! You’ll see authentic Chinese dances, art demonstrations, and a special appearance by the National Peking Opera Company. The Chinese Fine Arts Society and the Chicago Cultural Institute have collaborated on this project, so you’re really getting an authentic peek into Chinese heritage.

The event takes place from 10:30-4:30, one day only, so put this on your calendar today! Happy New Year!
