St. James Farm, located in Warrenville, is a 612-acre forest preserve containing native plant and animal species, agricultural fields, barns and horse stables. It’s a scenic place to visit year-round for a leisurely picnic, or a hike through the woods on the various paths. The preserve offers exciting opportunities to explore all year round, like nature photography excursions and geocaching, but during Christmas St. James Farm becomes especially festive!

Beginning on December 21st through January 7th, St. James Farm is offering horse drawn sleigh rides through the forest! While you enjoy the sights of the winter wonderland, you’ll hear cultural and natural history stories to add to the experience. If mother natures leaves us wishing for a white christmas, a wagon will be used to pull you along the trail. Rides last about 20 minutes, and are offered 3 times per day.  Visit their website for additional details!

So bundle up in your coziest winter gear, and head to St. James Farm with your family this Christmas for a unique holiday outing that will create lasting memories. Merry Christmas!
