Primrose Farm, a part of the St. Charles Park District, has restored a 1930s working farm to provide visitors with a glimpse of how modern day advances have changed farm life. Primrose is classified as a living farm which means you’ll get to see the farm employees in action as they demonstrate different historic farm tasks, including plowing fields with a horse and milking a cow by hand!

There’s lots of livestock here too! Cows, horses, sheep, chickens, and more! Observing the animals is always interesting, or talk to one of the experts to learn more about their unique rolls on the farm and how people utilize these animals.

In addition, Primrose has a Farm Discovery Trail, a fruit orchard, restored farm buildings and picnic shelters. Here, there's so much to explore, and so much to learn!
