Spring time, in all its beauty, beckons us outside. So when you hear the sunshine calling, head over to Peck Farm Interpretive Center to play, explore and learn! A part of the Geneva Park District, Peck Farm is a 385-acre nature retreat, which is close to home. There’s plenty of exploring to be done on the 19 acres of untouched wetlands. Bring a net and try to catch some frogs, or see how many kinds of birds you spot flying overhead.

There are some other amazing features as well. Peck Farms has a sensory garden where children and adults alike can explore using all their senses. A definite highlight is the butterfly house which allows you to get up close and personal with these beautiful bugs.  If you climb up the observation silo, you will find a great view of the park and surrounding area. There is plenty of sheltered picnic areas too! If you bring kids along, don’t miss Hawks Hollow Nature Playground! This playground has 8 interactive learning stations which aim to engage children in environmental learning. Lots of research was done in creating this space, so you can feel confident that your children are getting a great experience.

Roam around the park, and let us know what kinds of things you find. Adventure awaits! Share your fun by using the hashtag #outandaboutwithcompass on Instagram.
