While the city of Chicago holds some amazing things, sometimes heading West for a couple hours, out of the city, can be a refreshing change of pace. This spring, head over to Klehm Arboretum in Rockford for a beautiful escape!

Klehm Arboretum is Rockford’s “Living Museum” offering visitors 155 acres of gardens to explore. There are a wide variety of plants and trees found here, including a Children’s Garden especially for the youngest visitors, ornamental grass gardens, a fountain display, colorful rhododendrons and azaleas, and even a demonstration garden where you can watch and learn about how to care for plants in your own garden!

There is something beautiful to view in every season, but springtime is a particularly beautiful time to visit when everything is in bloom. There are also events held here often, including a 5K and a plant sale! Plan your visit today!
