The Kane County Flea Market is one of the largest flea markets in the area, and there’s something for everyone! It operates from the Kane County Fair Grounds in St. Charles, and is held the first full weekend of each month. The flea market takes a winter break, but they’re back now through late into the fall, and it’s a great time to explore. There are vendors of all kinds, so whether you’re on the hunt for household décor and furniture or searching for a rare collectible, you’re sure to find something to suit your taste and needs.

There are some amazing furniture vendors at the market, many who specialize in using reclaimed wood, which is a popular home décor trend right now. You can find dining room tables or a beautiful hutch for extra storage, at a great price. These unique, handcrafted, pieces will add a special element to your home. There are plenty of smaller pieces to be found, too. Chairs, ladders, and desks are readily available, and if you’re crafty, there are many interesting things you could reinvent into something new and different.

You can have fun exploring the rows of vintage baseball cards, or sift through fossilized rocks for a peek at our planet’s geological history. Search for your favorite vintage Pyrex pattern, or comb through the vintage toys for one of your childhood favorites.

After you’ve shopped till you dropped, mosey through the food vendors, in the center of the grounds, to find whatever it is you’re craving. The offerings are vast: fried cheese curds, corn on the cob, funnel cake, ice cream, and more. It’s all delicious. It’s a great way to end the day after you’ve found your treasures. Happy shopping!
