With spring break on the horizon, you may be looking at hours in the car as you travel to your final vacation destination. Why not make the most of the road trip, and plan some interesting stops along the way? If you’re travelling though Iowa on I-80, make a pit stop at the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum for a unique peek at trucking history!
Located in Walcott, Iowa, the museum’s mission is to preserve and restore antique trucks and artifacts so that the history of automobiles, specifically trucks, is preserved to be enjoyed by all its visitors. It’s uniquely American, and provides an in depth look at the development of trucks in the United States. You’ll see working class and luxury trucks alike, no two are the same and each has a special story behind it.
A couple hours spent walking around here is right up your alley if you’re an automobile enthusiast, but even if this isn’t your niche, you’ll still find the history and charm appealing. And best of all, it’s a cool stop on what could otherwise be a long and tedious journey! Have fun!
