The holidays are in full swing in the city, and things are about to get even more festive!  On the tails of the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony downtown, the ice skating rink at Millennium Park has opened, and it's a season must-do in Chicago!

Located in the heart of the city, Millennium Park has amazing features and offers a breathtaking view of the city.  It's the perfect backdrop while you glide along the ice.  This is also the perfect activity for out-of-town guests that may be making a visit during the holiday season.  They'll get a great glimpse of what makes Chicago so special.  Best of all, it won't break the bank! Admission is free, and there are even free skating lessons offered before the rink opens for the day. There's no excuse not to visit!

After you've had your fill of skating, enjoy a cup of hot chocoalte and soak in the city's holiday spirit.  You can stay and explore the expansive park, or take a walk up nearby Michigan Avenue.  You'll be close to so many other downtown hot-spots, so make a full day of it, and get to exploring!

As always, if you make a visit, tag us in your adventures on Instagram so we can see how you're enjoying getting out and about with Compass!
