Good music, yummy food, family-friendly exhibits, and awe-inspiring hot air balloons; Lisle’s Eyes to the Skies Festival is a treasured tradition! Coming up on its 34th year, it’s a fun festival that truly has it all.

The festival, held this year from Wednesday, June 29-Sunday July 3, celebrates the beauty and wonder of hot air balloons and the festive feel of summertime. Many people have seen hot air balloons floating through the sky, but most have never seen them up close. If you’re curious about just how these balloons work, be sure to attend this festival! You can watch the balloons launch and land at specified times throughout the duration of the festival, and for a real treat, go at night for the Balloon Glow, where you really get to see the vibrancy of their designs and colors. If you’ve always wanted to go for a ride, but are feeling nervous, a tethered balloon ride is for you! This way you still get the feel of a balloon ride, without the heights! Best of all, Eyes to the Skies donates all proceeds from the festival to local charities!

In addition to the balloons, there’s a craft fair, live music, delicious food offerings, a carnival, and nightly fireworks beginning on July 1. There’s no better way to celebrate summer!
