Year round, Cosley Zoo in Wheaton offers visitors a small-scale farm zoo experience that is perfect for the little ones in your life. But at Christmastime, the zoo transforms into a colorful winter wonderland during their Festival of Lights, and the entire family will find the experience magical!

The zoo has the usual animals to see, but since the animals may be tucked into their warm habitats, the real highlight is the decorations! You’ll find trees decorated with care, over 20,000 lights, hung on the buildings and barns, and plenty of lit up animal figures- from a larger than life dinosaur to smaller birds. Everything comes to life in lights!

It won’t take you long to make your way through the entire zoo, so it’s the perfect outdoor winter outing to bring a bit of Christmas charm to your family. While you’re there, if you still need a tree of your own, Cosley has a large selection.

Grab your hot chocolate, and get ready to be amazed!
