Chicago is well known for its rich museum culture. From the museum campus on the lakefront, housing the Adler Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, and others, to the museums tucked away in various pockets of the city, many celebrating the heritage and traditions of Chicago residents, like the DuSable Museum and the National Museum of Mexican Art. These institutions make our city vibrant and relevant, and there’s no better time to plan a visit than during Chicago’s Museum Week!

For eleven days, from October 13-23, Illinois residents receive a 25% discount at all participating museums. It’s a special opportunity to visit many of these museums that you may not make a point to visit otherwise. There is fun and learning ahead—explore everything from animals at the Lincoln Park Zoo, to interactive exhibits at the Museum of Contemporary Art!
